Last night the Florida Panthers showed great offense in the first period. Alexsander Barkov, scoring his eighth career goal and Drew Shore scoring his first goal since April last season. Tim Thomas, Panthers starting goalie played a great game. The three stars last night were Tim Thomas, the third star with 31 saves, Nick Bjugstad, the second star, with one goal and Scottie Upshall, the first star with one goal and one assist.
On the other hand, the New York Islanders did not show up with their A game. Only scoring two goals. Goalie Kevin Poulin only saved 22 shots. The Islanders had ten penalty minutes and 32 face off wins. Overall,the game was exciting and a great win for the Florida Panthers.
