NEW YORK RANGERS WIN STREAK

Hi I'm back! Sorry I've been caught up with homework and school. Anyway the New York Rangers have been on a hot win streak. Henrik Lundqvist has been on his "A" game for the the Rangers.  All the Rangers have to do is improve their defense and they will have a high chance of making it in the playoffs.

Hi! I'm back! Welcome back hockey fans to a new NHL season! So rumor has that The Florida Panthers might be moving to Quebec next year. I think that the Panthers should stay because they are a young team. Comment below your input...... thanks bye-alex

STANLEY CUP FINALS

Last night the LA Kings beat the New York Rangers in OT again.winning the Stanley Cup for the second time in 3 years.they beat the Rangers 4-1 in a great series for the Kings. honestly i think the third goal by LA in game 2 should've been a no goal. right there that's when the Kings took over the series. Last night the Rangers had so many chances to score in OT. i think the Rangers really came back over all considering that in the beginning of the season they were pretty bad. i think all Ranger fans out there are pretty upset but honestly i am happy that we made it here and beat the Flyers

STANLEY CUP

Hello, I'm sorry I haven't been blogging lately. Honestly, I have been caught up in school but enough of that "Hello summer!" Well....who's ready for the Stanley Cup Finals!! Wow I can't believe the Rangers made it this far. Personally, I love the Rangers!  Who do you think will win game 7? Chicago of L.A?  Comment who you want to win game 7 and the cup.

On a side note, recently the Florida Panthers head coach was fired and the Canucks head coach was also fired, comment if you think they will take each others places??

PLAYOFFS

Are you ready for the playoffs? I know I am. This season we have some great match-ups like the New York Rangers and the Philadelphia Flyers , the Boston Bruins and the Detroit Red Wings, the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Columbus Blue Jackets, the Montreal Canadiens and the Tampa Bay Lightning and so much more. I think good match-ups are the Rangers and the Flyers and the Bruins and the Red Wings.

Today the Washington Capitals forward Alex Ovechkin scored his League-leading 40th goal vs. the Winnipeg Jets in the third period.

IS HOCKEY THE TOUGHEST SPORT?

Is hockey the toughest sport? Some people think that football is the toughest sport. Well, my opinion is that hockey is the toughest sport, because you can get checked into the bench and fall on a player. Also, somebody's blade on their skate can cut you, you can get into a fight and have your helmet fall off and you can fall and get a concussion. But, I can agree when people say football is tough but I will not go into detail about because, well my blog is about hockey. In conclusion I think hockey is the toughest sport.

DEVILS & RANGERS SHAKE HANDS

WINTER CLASSIC ( RANGERS VS DEVILS)

Today was the Winter Classic's. The New York Rangers crushed the Devils with a 7-3 victory. Henrik Lunkqvist was great in today's game. On the other hand, The New Jersey Devils weren't so good, with a goalie change in the third period. But, on the bright side the Rangers showed great offense and defense. Mats Zuccarello scored 2 goals and the game winning goal. So, in conclusion the Rangers had a great victory.

SCOTTIE UPSHALL

Got to meet one of my favorite players, Scottie Upshall after Saturday night's game vs. The Avalanche. Even though the Panthers lost, I was soo happy to meet Scottie!

MEET AND GREET HOCKEY PLAYERS

I was lucky enough to be at a meet and greet at a local restaurant with a few of the Florida Panthers.  It was so much fun!  I was able to meet: Brian Campbell, Drew Shore and Jonathan Huberdeau and also former hockey player, Bill Lindsay.

They sat at a table and answered questions from the crowd that was seated under a tent.  I was able to be standing right next to the table where the players were seated.  The moderator was Bill Lindsay.

After they finished answering questions, they signed autographs.  I was able to get some pucks autographed as well as my jersey.  After they signed everyone's autograph, I waited "backstage" to say good-bye and take pictures with them.  They were nice enough to take pictures with me!

HOCKEY FIGHTS

George Parros, is one of my favorite players.  He use to be on the Florida Panthers and is now on the Canadiens. He is a perfect example of players who are always fighting.   

Hockey fights are one of the most exciting things in a game.  I think that fights are a big part of hockey, but sometimes they get a little  out of hand. For example, George Parros recently got into a fight against the Toronto Maple Leafs.  He was pushed down to the ice with no helmet on and from that fight, he got a concussion. On the Pittsburgh Penguins, Brooks Orpik's fight got so out of hand, he went unconscious. So I think fights are okay but not to let them get crazy and harmful. 

That's my opinion on hockey fights.

Here is a picture of some of the Panthers  on TV at an old Panther game as they walk back to the locker room.  Kids stand there and love saying hello to all the players Sometimes, the players give us a puck and once I even got a broken stick from a player!

PANTHERS VS. ISLANDERS RECAP

Last night the Florida Panthers showed great offense in the first period. Alexsander Barkov, scoring his eighth career goal and Drew Shore scoring his first goal since April last season. Tim Thomas, Panthers starting goalie played a great game. The three stars last night were Tim Thomas, the third star with 31 saves, Nick Bjugstad, the second star, with one goal and Scottie Upshall, the first star with one goal and one assist.

On the other hand, the New York Islanders did not show up with their A game. Only scoring two goals. Goalie Kevin Poulin only saved 22 shots. The Islanders had ten penalty minutes and 32 face off wins. Overall,the game was exciting and a great win for the Florida Panthers.
